A dummy hub is an essential tool for any suspension shop, bike shop, or home mechanic. Ideal for:
- Aligning your fork lowers and want to make sure the fork is working properly with the nominal width hub.
- Aligning your fork lowers and suspect that you will get the best results with a hub width that deviates from the nominal width.
- Checking alignment of the hub clamping surfaces and assess the impact of any deviations on the fork's performance.
The included bracket also acts as a mount for the lower legs during service, providing a stable support during the removal and installation of seals, aligning lowers, or applying protective film. Threaded holes and included mounting hardware allow for direct mounting to a bench top, can also be mounted in a vise.
Compatible with hub spacing of 15x100, 15x110 and 20x110.
NOTE: The clamp must be tightened before tightening the fork axle. This is essential for proper operation and durability of the device.
Recommended tightening torque for mounting screws:
25 +/- 5 Nm
Recommended tightening torque value for clamp screws:
8 +/-1 Nm.
